A domestic multi-brand e-commerce portal called D2C Ecommerce has purchased the Mumbai-based fashion jewelry company AccessHer. By investing in other categories, growing the company, and entering international markets like the UK, US, and Europe, D2C Ecommerce will strengthen the brand’s reach and increase its presence in the jewelry and accessory sector with this acquisition.

In 2018, husband and wife team Gaurav Babel & Reena Jain launched AccessHer to create jewelry and accessories for modern Indian women. AccessHer has created goods that appeal to young women between the ages of 20 and 35 years old for all of their moods, looks, and situations with an eye for quality and a passion for design. From fashionable statement jewelry for a party or a sparkling basic workplace appearance to vintage traditional outfits, you can wear them to your BFF’s wedding or a house puja. For its customers, AccessHer has always been the first to introduce new trends in online markets.

Jewelry is one of the online marketplaces’ fastest-growing categories as the holiday season approaches. The impending Big Billion Days Sale and Great Indian Festival Sale across the top online retail sites, Amazon and Flipkart, present an excellent opportunity for AccessHer to profit.

The firm offers a large selection of products in several designs, including sets of necklaces, earrings, nose rings, bangles, bracelets, body jewelry, hair accessories, purses, festive clothing, and items for gift-giving. AccessHer plans to generate INR 10 crore from just the “hair accessories” segment in FY 2022–2023 with a clear concentration on this market.

Manish Gupta, CEO, and founder of D2Cecommerce commented on the acquisition announcement, saying, “The acquisition is the result of thoroughly thought through strategy and synergy between the two firms. Both D2C Ecommerce and AccessHer share the same philosophy and think it’s critical to offer young Indian consumers the greatest items possible at competitive pricing. By utilizing our current strengths, this alliance will enable us to develop the business to new heights while providing us with the opportunity to enter a new, rapidly expanding jewelry market.

The founder of AccessHer, Mr. Gaurav Babel, said, “We are thrilled to work with and join the core team at D2C e-commerce. Together, we think that we can not only make AccessHer a well-known brand in the market but also contribute our knowledge to enable D2C eCommerce to grow to even greater heights. By collaborating with them, we hope to grow our company internationally and make the brand the most favored in the fashion jewelry and accessory market.

Currently, at AccessHer, Reena Jain focuses on product curation and client acquisition, while Gaurav Babel is in charge of leading the brand’s operations. The two will now be a vital component of D2C Ecommerce’s core team and take a leading role in expanding the company’s operations in India and around the world.
