New Delhi, October: News18 Jammu/Kashmir/Ladakh/Himachal (JKLH) has become the number one channel in its segment, acquiring the highest market share according to the recently released BARC ratings.
The channel which comes from the stable of India’s largest news network has surpassed all its competitors to claim number one position within 50 days of its launch.
News18 JKLH has topped the charts with a market share of 39.2%, as compared to JKL 24×7 News and Gulistan News’ which garnered 36.1%, and 24.7% respectively (TG: 15+, Wk. 39’22, All Days). During the coveted prime time slot, the channel has nearly 45% of the market share.
With the launch of News18 JKLH on August 15th this year, News18 Network became the first national news network to have a dedicated news channel from the region.
