The Free Press Journal’s Mumbai School Survey awards dinner at St Regis Hotel sparkled. Deepak Kesarkar, Cabinet Minister for Education, Environment and Climate Change, and Marathi Language, presided over the awards event. Keki Mistry, Vice Chairman and CEO of Housing Development Finance Corporation, was the evening’s guest of honor, while Niranjan Hiranandani, co-founder and managing director of Hiranandani Group, was L’Invité d’Honneur.
Deepak Kesarkar made numerous major announcements to academics and the Free Press Journal in his address. The ministry announced skill education from Standard 6 forward.
Keki Mistry, however, stated the National Education Policy (NEP) will transform education. He said the strategy promotes comprehensive development in pre-schools, schools, and universities. Mr. Mistry and UpperCrust Editor and Publisher Farzana Contractor presented the honors.
Technology‘s impact on kids satisfied education expert Niranjan Hiranandani. He said the Free Press Journal’s Whatsapp edition was the easiest method to stay up to date in the morning. Mr. Hinandani enjoyed awarding the following schools.
Ryan Pereira, Regional Head, USIEF, Yogesh Dhingra, Founder and Director of CourseLeap Education and Consultant to numerous international schools, and Deepali Nair, CMO, IBM, also presented prizes.
Wang Yanhua, Deputy Consul General, China Consulate Mumbai, Joanna Irzyk, Wife of Polish Consul General in Mumbai, and Ramesh Narayan, Director, Strategy of AFAA were thrilled to present trophies to the winning schools.
Over 70 top Mumbai schools received prizes from the aforesaid dignitaries.
Mumbai’s first “honest” school survey was launched on Teachers’ Day for schools in every education board in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. Participating schools completed survey questionnaires to support their nominations. Unfamiliar with the schools, jurors from around the nation used the supplied data and peer recommendations to create an impartial ranking of great schools.
The poll needed a wide perspective, to be honest. To ensure all schools were rated comprehensively and fairly, FPJ abolished the harsh custom of ranking schools.
The FPJ listed outstanding schools in six categories: Learning and Teaching, Sports Education, Parental Engagement and Community Outreach, Digitalization and Technology Integration, Sustainability and Inclusive Education, and Vocational Education. In Learning and Teaching, The Cathedral and John Connon, Gopi Birla Memorial, Campion, Billabong, High International, Ascend International, Utpal Shanghvi Global, Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls’, Children’s Academy, JBCN International, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan International, Bombay Scottish, Somaiya, D.A.V Public, Sulochanadevi Singhania, Narayan E-Techno, Mahatma School of Academics and Sports, Vibgyor High stood out.
After a gala luncheon, the FPJ pledged to hold the Mumbai Schools Survey annually.
