There were many ups and downs in 2022. And as we bid it farewell and welcome the year 2023, some of the most notable developments that came along with it are worth mentioning. 

The startups culture experienced a significant uptick this year as many people came forward with their business concepts. Some of the entrepreneurs supported these startups by becoming angel investors and investing in hundreds of startups in 2022. 

The top angel investors for 2022 are listed below: 

  1. Kunal Shah  

With 67 investments this year, Cred’s founder and CEO Kunal Shah once again topped the list of angel investors funding the most deals per year, according to data from Venture Intelligence. 

 2. Rohit Bansal and Kunal Bahl 

The co-founders of Snapdeal, Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal have been making investments through Titan Capital, their investment arm, and in 2022, they were angel investors in 34 and 30 startups, respectively. 

  1. Aman Gupta  

The creator of boAt, Aman Gupta, rose to fame after appearing on Shark Tank. The upcoming popular TV show for startups. The Sharks has invested in many startups. Aman Gupta was among one them Shark   In keeping with the theme of the show, Aman Gupta invested more than twice as much in 16 startups in 2022 as he had in 2021.  

  1. Karthik Bhat  

Karthik Bhat founded his own investment company, Force Ventures, after working for Goldman Sachs and the news website Dailyhunt. Karthik ranked fourth among India’s top angel investors in 2022 after investing in 15 angel deals. 

  1. Sandeep Narwal 

The co-founder of the multi-billion dollar Web3 company Polygon is Sandeep Nailwal. In 2021, he invested as an angel in 15 startups, many of which were in the cryptocurrency industry. 

  1. Sujeet Kumar 

Sujeet Kumar is a business owner and co-founder of Udaan, a B2B platform. In 15 startups, Sujeet Kumar came in sixth place as an angel investor

  1. Gokul Rajaram  

Gokul Rajaram serves as the Product and Business Helper at Doordash and is a board member at Coinbase and Pinterest right now. He made angel investments in 13 startups in 2022, an increase from 8 in 2021.
