Jaipur Music Stage ends its 2023 edition on a high note

Spectacular performances spanning across a vast array of genres, coveted line-up of musicians from around the globe, vibrant night market and an experience hard to forget- the Jaipur Music Stage wrapped up its three-day musical extravaganza on 21st January 2023 at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur. Attracting a significant crowd for its finale, the Music Stage created a spellbinding atmosphere with sensational rhythms and foot-tapping beats that engulfed the artistes and audience members alike.

Celebrating a world of music beyond boundaries, the concluding day of the Jaipur Music Stage featured the contemporary-classical duo of Anindo Bose and Pavithra ChariShadow and Light and one of the top 3 Folk-Fusion/Indie bands in India, Kabir Café. Beautifully melding the austerity of classical music with contemporary sensibilities, the performing artistes not only presented a refreshing take on world music but saluted its essential spirit- that of the freedom to create.

Sharing their excitement on returning to the iconic Jaipur Music Stage, Kabir Café said, “We are extremely delighted to be continuing the tradition of playing at the Jaipur Literature Festival which celebrates literature, art and ideas from all parts of the world. In doing so, the Festival has initiated a harmonious journey towards a more peaceful and progressive future from the increasingly confusing and anxiety-ridden contemporary world that we live in. We look forward to playing at this year’s edition of the Festival!”

On being asked to share their thoughts on performing for the large audience patiently waiting for their set, Shadow and Light remarked, “We are very excited to perform at this year’s Jaipur Music Stage on the 21st January alongside the Kabir Cafe. Hope to see all the music enthusiasts in the Pink City for the ‘greatest’ literary celebration.” On that cheerful note, the Jaipur Music Stage 2023 edition came to an end but not without the promise of returning again next year with more electrifying performances that celebrate variety, discovery and collaboration.
