Ahead of No Hard Feelings, here are 5 Jennifer Lawrence films you must watch

Jennifer Lawrence has been part of phenomenal titles throughout the years, captivating the global audience and winning multiple awards, including the Academy Awards. Her latest film, ‘No Hard Feelings,’ is set to release on 23rd June 2023. The film is a rom-com that follows the story of a woman who, on the brink of losing her home, agrees to date a wealthy couple’s introverted and awkward 19-year-old son before he leaves for college. Fans can witness the film at PVR INOX cinemas. Ahead of its release, here are five films of Jennifer Lawrence that you must watch if you haven’t already. 

  1. Silver Linings Playbook

Silver Linings Playbook follows the story of Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper), who, after losing his job and wife and spending time in a mental institution, ends up living with his parents (Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver). He wants to rebuild his life and reunite with his wife, but his parents would be happy if he simply shared their obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles. Things get complicated when Pat meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), who offers to help him reconnect with his wife if he does something very important for her in exchange. 

  1. The Hunger Games

Directed by Gary Ross, “The Hunger Games” is set in a future North America known as “Panem”, the Capitol selects a boy and a girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each of the twelve outlying districts to compete in the annual “Hunger Games”, a televised fight-to-the-death. The film is centered around Katniss Everdeen – a 16-year-old girl from District 12, who volunteers for her 12-year-old sister, Prim, when Prim’s name is chosen – and Katniss’s fellow District 12 tribute, Peeta Mellark, with whom she has some rather dramatic history. Katniss is then rushed to the Capitol, where she undergoes intense training before being thrust into the arena to fight to become the victor of the seventy-fourth annual Hunger Games.

The first class of X-Men, led by two very powerful mutants named Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr, join together to stop a ruthless and powerful dictator from thrusting Russia and the U.S. into nuclear war. But Eric has his own agenda, and it soon rips him and his best friend apart. Jennifer Lawrence plays Mystique, her performance was praised by fans and critics!

  1. American Hustle

Based on the 1970’s Abscam case, American Hustle follows Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) dabbles in forgery and loan-sharking, but when he falls for fellow grifter Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), things change in a big way. Caught red-handed by FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper), Irv and Sydney are forced to work undercover as part of DiMaso’s sting operation to nail a New Jersey mayor (Jeremy Renner). Meanwhile, Irv’s jealous wife (Jennifer Lawrence) may be the one to bring everyone’s world crashing down.

Starring Leonardo Di Caprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett and Timothée Chalamet, Don’t Look Up is a story of two upcoming astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth. Jennifer Lawrence plays Kate Dibiasky and delivered a sensational performance earning her praise from critics and fans.

  1. No Hard Feelings

No Hard Feelings, the upcoming rom-com film follows Maddie, a young woman working as an Uber driver in New York, who is facing bankruptcy after her car is repossessed. She accepts an unusual Craigslist posting in which her new employers are parents who have noticed that their introverted 19-year-old son Percy is showing no interest in intimacy. Maddie agrees to become their son’s “girlfriend,” “date his brains out,” and help him to join adult life before going off to college. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Andrew Feldman and Hasan Minhaj amongst others.
