September, 2023 – What began some years ago as a visionary idea in Munich has long since become an unparalleled international success story: A ‘digital character with a human soul,’ noonoouri made her first public appearance in 2018 at the New York Fashion Week. Immediately capturing people’s attention, it was the start of a stellar international career.
Today, noonoouri is the first ‘digital character’ with a worldwide representation by IMG Models, the world’s largest modeling agency, alongside supermodels such as Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Precious Lee. She has been featured on the magazine covers of VOGUE, Cosmopolitan, GLAMOUR, and many more, and has modeled for brands such as Dior, Versace, and Lacoste.
With over 400,000 followers on Instagram, noonoouri has become a true icon and has a huge celebrity following including Anitta, Naomi Campbell, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lewis Hamilton, Donatella Versace, Heidi Klum, and many others.
As much as she loves the fashion world, it is only one aspect of her multi-faceted life and work. Using her platform, she understands herself as a “voice for the voiceless” and a global citizen. Her social engagements as a digital activist include corporations with UNICEF and IUCN, campaigns for sustainability and animal welfare, and taking a stand against discrimination and racism.
And then there’s music. A great passion of hers ever since, it has played a big role in her life since the beginning. “It sets me into the mood and nourishes my visions and ideas to bring them to life as a driving force inside of me,” noonoouri shares.
So it was only a matter of time until noonoouri herself would take the step to become a musician, bringing her message to the world as a ‘voice for the voiceless’ in the truest sense of the word. Teaming up with German superstar DJ and producer Alle Farben, noonoouri released her debut single ‘Dominoes’ on September 1, 2023.
The two met in Dubai at the top of this year. After their first encounter, they decided on the spot to toss around ideas together at the FIVE Music Songwriting Camp. Here’s what noonoouri has to say about their first encounter and the ensuing musical collaboration:
“In the midst of Dubai’s sleepless mirage, I was sucked into social media’s swirl. I had the urge to connect with a DJ. These are our shamen, the high-priests and priestesses of dance. Giving motion to masses of people. Intoxicating us with vision and sound.
And who else should appear in my media feed than fellow Berliner and uber-DJ, Alle Farben. With sweet serendipity, he was in Dubai too.
I sent him a DM. He said let’s meet.
Our words flowed like crystal-clear water. The connection was made, and the inspiration. Let’s work on some music together. He suggested we join FIVE Music’s Songwriting Camp, that was taking place at FIVE Palm Jumeirah Hotel at that time. So we did. And just as every action provokes a reaction, our song Dominoes was born.
Its hook lines and basslines weave the fabric of our friendship. And its notes are the sound of our story.”
Everything is connected to everything and hence we can all make a difference with our actions and deeds, for better or for worse – this is what ‘Dominoes’ is about. noonoouri & Alle Farben encourage us to change things for the better. Because even what might seem like the smallest step could be the start of something big, as it might trigger a domino effect: “Just a little push that’s enough to start a chain reaction (…) like domi-dominoes”, the lyrics go, boosted by Alle Farben’s gently propulsive, uplifting production.
