Industry Minister on 8th August mentioned that India can become a significant part of supply chains because it is fulfilling all the needs which are ruling under some constitutions. In India, people elect their government, they have their own opinion and rights. He also mentioned that India should globally engage with competitive prices, high standard products, a high level of production units, and productivity.

The latest updates in the performance of Indian export had seen a great improvement. Last month export reached up to 91 percent as compared to July 2019. Piyush also added that we are above the 95 percent in export performance but it is apart from the oil-based and jewelry exports. And might be great news for the analysts.

About the railway, Piyush said that in the last 11 days the cargo is running double in speed which had run one year ago. Before the freight trains speed was 23km/hr., but in these 11 days, it has been running at the speed of 46km/hr. He added to it that in Indian railway history it is the first time the railway giving more importance to their material more than the passenger’s trains, and they are trying to do their best to improve the number of freight trains so for that they uplift 4 percent more fright more than that they have been done in between 11 days.

He said that the restrictions wouldn’t make any stoppage in the supply of medicines, and it would be crosschecked whether medicines were distributed equitably across the globe. This was done because, in the period of crisis, a few nations would have cornered all the available pharmacy and medical stocks, and the poor, and less rich countries would have remained deprived of adequate medicines.

Further, he said that “when we talk of a STRONG India, we are talking of India where ‘S’ stands for ‘Sabka saath, sabka vikas, aur sabka vishwas’, ‘T’ is for total focus on the goal of a self-reliant India, ‘R’- resilient India, ‘O’ for opening up ourselves to new horizons, ‘N’ stands for nationalism and ‘G’ stands for gearing up for a better tomorrow.

Goyal said that the government is working towards the current crisis to strengthen our economy and to make India a self-reliant country, also he included that the government announced an Aatmanirbhar Bharat package, several initiatives were on drawing board, which will be unfurled in the days and months to come by addressing the convocation ceremony of Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics, he said Aatmanirbhar Bharat does not mean looking inwards or closing doors for the world. “There will be products where we will have to continue to import, India is not against imports, India is not closing its doors to global engagement, India is expanding it wider.
