India Pod Day 2023 presented by Amazon Music and hosted by IVM Podcasts and Westland Books at Mumbai’s esteemed St. Andrews Auditorium, witnessed a myriad of captivating moments and insightful discussions.
One of the most exciting revelations of the event was during the Fireside chat between Uorfi Javed and Karthik VK. Uorfi Javed hinted at her forthcoming podcast in collaboration with IVM Podcasts. She stated, “I am soon coming up with a podcast. Everything is to be decided right now. The podcast is going to be cool and conversational.” Uorfi Javed also shared a personal story about how she used to feel not very confident and how some people tend to criticize or make fun of those who lack confidence. But she explained how, with time, she grew more self-assured and confident in herself.
Popular comic and podcast host Cyrus Broacha engaged in an insightful conversation with celebrated author and lyricist Javed Akhtar about his book, ‘Talking Life: Javed Akhtar in Conversation with Nasreen Munni Kabir’. Akhtar shared personal stories from his childhood, including his complex relationship with his father, providing attendees with a unique perspective into his life. Javed Akhtar said“I think most of the people, if they will talk candidly about their father, you will know they did not have good relations with them.” He shared many stories and anecdotes of his life in this frank chat.
The event also featured a talk by renowned author Hussain Zaidi, who delved into the landmark story of ‘Black Friday,’ captivating the audience with his storytelling prowess.
