The Ancient Sculptures: India Egypt Assyria Greece Rome, a unique international exhibition and education initiative is the first presentation of the CSMVS Ancient World Project. This is a transcontinental endeavor that is globally co-curated by CSMVS, Mumbai; The British Museum, London; The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Berlin; and The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles along with museums from India.
It showcases magnificent works of art from other cultures to CSMVS Mumbai, witnessing a shared human history, in order to deepen and enrich the study of world history in Indian schools and universities.
Endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the project is organized to coincide with the commemoration of 75 years of Indian Independence and will be open to visitors till Oct 2024.
