Thought widely to be the grandest celebration of literature worldwide, the Samsung Galaxy
Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 opens tomorrow at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur and keeps up its tradition of uncovering a gamut of ‘stories’ from across the world.
Like every year, this year too, the magnificent and diverse programme for the much-awaited 17th edition will feature some of the most celebrated minds from across the world. Audiences can savour a range of diversity in languages in this edition, which will feature 16 Indian and 8 international languages with sessions spread across 5 venues. The Festival will host over 550 speakers and performers from across a vast array of nationalities. The speakers are recipients of awards such as the Booker, the International Booker, the Pulitzer, the Baillie Gifford; the Sahitya Akademi, Dada Saheb Phalke Award, the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature, the JCB Prize for Literature and many more. It will feature a range of themes including Fiction & Non Fiction, Literary Criticism, History, Politics & Current Affairs, Economics, Poetry, Art & Culture, Art & Architecture, Translation, Graphic Novels, Gender, Science & Medicine, Food & Memory, Biographies & Memoir, Mythology, Spirituality & Religion, Mental Health, Fashion & Lifestyle,
Law & Justice, Geopolitics, Sports, Crime Fiction, Climate Change + Environment & Climate Justice, Pet Parents + Pets & Animals, Cities, Literary Icons Through The Ages, Bollywood &Cinema amongst others.

Beginning on Thursday, February 1st, the Festival will open with the calming strains of Morning Music and celebrate the centenary year of Pandit Kumar Gandharv with a performance by acclaimed Hindustani classical vocalist and Kumar Gandharv’s daughter, Kalapini Komkali. The opening will also see inaugural addresses by Founders and Festival Co-directors Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple along with Festival Producer Sanjoy K. Roy, Managing Director, Teamwork Arts. Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Diya Kumari will grace the milestone occasion and address the audience.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 marked its opening by hosting an exclusive evening for speakers and dignitaries today at the Rambagh Palace – Jaipur.In the vibrant heart of Jaipur, the Rambagh Palace stands majestically, a testament to luxury and a guardian of the city's rich tapestry of history. It was here that the famed welcome dinnerof the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 was held. The setting wasnone other than The Botanist, the palace's own bastion of lush greenery, where nature’s beauty, exquisite dining, and a dedication to sustainability intertwined in perfect harmony. This evening was not just a dinner but a symphony of refined tastes, intellectual stimulation, and warm social interaction, all encapsulated within the exquisite essence of ‘Tajness’.

During this sublime evening, Mr. Ashok Rathore, Area Director – Operations and General
Manager of Rambagh Palace, said, “Hosting the iconic welcome dinner for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 at the Rambagh Palace, Jaipur, is both an honour and a privilege. The evening was nothing short of a masterpiece, attended by the crème de lacrème of the nation.”
The event saw an illustrious assembly of the finest minds and talents, a true constellation of literary figures, eloquent authors, distinguished speakers, and passionate aficionados of
literature. Under the guidance of the legendary chef Raghu Deora, the palace’s culinary virtuosos crafted an extraordinary banquet, a harmonious blend of local flavours and international culinary artistry.

The 17 th edition of the Festival will also feature South Asia’s biggest publishing conclave, the prestigious Jaipur BookMark from 1 st -5 th February, which will bring together publishers, literary agents, translation agencies, writers, and major industry players from across the world. Showcasing world music with a diverse mix of genres and artistes – The Jaipur Music Stage, which runs parallel to the Festival, will be a 3-day programme, set to run from 1st – 3rd February.. Living up to its aim of variety & discovery of music’s many moods, the Music Stage borders, genres and geographies through electrifying performances.

The literary show will also live-stream some key sessions which will be available on the
Festival’s microsite.
