HDB Financial Services (HDBFS) reaffirms its unwavering commitment to water conservation and environmental sustainability on this World Water Day. With a focus on addressing water-related challenges and promoting sustainable development, HDBFS continues to make significant strides in restoring water bodies and fostering positive change in communities across the country.

HDBFS has been actively involved in various CSR initiatives aimed at water conservation and promoting sustainable water management practices. HDBFS has collaborated with environment-focused NGOs to restore water bodies in different regions across in Indore (MP), Gurugram (HR), Bhilwara & Udaipur (RJ), North Karnataka (KA), Tiruppur, Chennai and Coimbatore (TN). These initiatives include the development of over 3500 water harvesting structures, which have been instrumental in encouraging soil and moisture conservation practices and promoting sustainable agriculture. Additionally, HDBFS has supported development of over 150 farm ponds, providing small and marginal farmers with access to water for irrigation and domestic use.

Furthermore, HDBFS has scientifically restored more than 80 small and medium-sized lakes, contributing to the maintenance of ecological balance, safeguarding local flora and fauna, and recharging natural aquifers within the command area. The efforts of HDBFS in lake restoration have yielded tangible results, including improved water quality, enhanced biodiversity, and increased access to clean water for local communities.
