‘Jagruk Baniye, PYNA Chuniye’ – Godrej Agrovet’s new multilingual campaign focussed on cotton farmers
Godrej Agrovet Limited’s Crop Protection Business recently kicked off a captivating digital campaign for its weed management solutions under its umbrella brand PYNA. With a tagline ‘Jagruk Baniye, PYNA Chuniye’, the campaign aims to imbibe a habit in cotton farmers to look for ‘PYNA mark’ while purchasing products for effective weed management and superior yields. Godrej Agrovet is selling three of its cotton weed management products Hitweed, Hitweed Maxx, and Maxxcott under PYNA brand.
Coinciding with the start of cotton sowing season in Maharashtra, the campaign highlights the challenges faced by cotton farmers while selecting the right weed management solution and how the PYNA brand of products provides a broad window of weed management options, from seed sowing to the active flowering stage of the crop, minimizing crop-weed competition and promoting robust cotton growth.

Commenting on the campaign, Anil Choubey, GM – Marketing, Crop Protection Business, Godrej Agrovet Limited, said, “Weeds impact the cotton yield up to 45-50% due to wider spacing between the crops. Hence with our digital campaign, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of effective weed control and empower farmers with our innovative solutions. By looking and choosing PYNA brand of products and not opting for less effective alternative solutions, farmers can minimize crop-weed competition, establish strong cotton growth, and maximize their yields and profitability.”
“Digital platforms have emerged as a strong source of information within the farmer communities. Hence leveraging new-age platforms, we hope to establish PYNA as a symbol of trust and reliability by building a strong connection with our cotton farmers.”
Released in Marathi, the campaign will be further adapted in Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi too.
Launched last year, Godrej Agrovet has extended the PYNA brand logo to co-marketers like Bayer CropScience, Rallis India, Dhanuka Agritech, PI Industries, Indofil Industries, Nichino India, Bharat Certis and others, enabling them to promote and support farmers in growing cotton sustainably through PYNA branded products.
