JioCinema Premium, India’s premier entertainment destination, has announced the release of a gripping documentary ‘Moving Mountains Within’ on August 7th. Featuring a group of courageous and passionate runners, the documentary unfolds the depths of the human potential that took place during the 10th edition of La Ultra – The High, held in Ladakh, India.
In a desert-like terrain where ordinary people struggle to breathe, and face altitude sickness, runners attempt a 555 km trek in 132 hours; a feat that may well be the world’s toughest and craziest marathon. Ladakh’s unearthly plateau and unstable climate which swings drastically from -10 °C to 40 °C pose fatal risks without oxygen cylinders. The tale salutes the ‘never-say-die’ attitude of runners and showcases contestants getting back up after being beaten down – not just physically, but mentally as well. The documentary features people from various walks of life including the entrepreneurial couple from the USA Mathew (555 Km participant) and Cassie (222 km), Ashish Kasodekar (555 km), a 40-year-old runner from India who previously finished 333 km during La Ultra 2018 event.
