After 365 days of waiting, this auspicious day arrives, where we celebrate the annual harvest with a feast featuring as many as 26 items for us to savor!
The festival of Onam is a sacred one that brings together all of Mahabali‘s subjects, as well as people from outside the state, to enjoy this incredible feast. Our chef has curated a Sadya menu served on a banana leaf, featuring dishes like Injipuli, Kichadi, Pachadi, Kootu Curry, Beans Thoran, Avial, Erissery, Parippu, Kerala Sambar, Kalan, Rasam, and Moru. To end it on a sweet note, we have varieties of Payasam, including the famous Kerala Parippu Pradhaman, and a range of Kozhikode halwa: Black Halwa, Jaggery Halwa, and Malabar Halwa.
To complement this feast, of course, we have the much-loved Chayakkada – a Kerala tea and coffee station – along with chips and fritters that are so reminiscent of everything we love about the place.
If you prefer brunch, we have that too, with multiple specialty counters offering a quintessential meal to mark this festival. We have specialty counters featuring the famous Puttu and Kadala Curry, Appam/Idiyappam with a variety of stews, and Hand-Made Pidi with Kozhi Curry (rice dumplings), and many more.
So this September, you can choose to attend an Onam-focused brunch on either the 8th or the 15th, or come for the traditional banana leaf Sadya on the 13th and 14th.
