Bangalore, December 2024 – The Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (PHANA), a 24-year-old organization dedicated to the advancement of private healthcare, achieved a historic milestone as Dr. Shobha Prakash was officially appointed as the first woman President and her newly elected office bearers and EC for the 2025-2027 term . This significant achievement was announced during the 4th National Health Summit 2024, held on December 8, 2024, in Bangalore.

Ensuring that private hospitals, regardless of size, strictly adhere to fire safety norms—mandatory for license renewal under the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) Act—is crucial for building trust and ensuring patient safety.
