Kochi, 17th December, 2024: Kochi Marriott Hotel kicked off the festive season with a grand Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, an event that also marked the hotel’s journey of a decade in delivering exceptional hospitality. Opened on December 21, 2014, the hotel has become a symbol of luxury and community engagement in Kochi.
To further commemorate its 10-year journey, the hotel announced a 10-day food festival celebrating diverse world cuisines.
“This event is not just about celebrating the festive season but also our journey of a decade in delivering exceptional hospitality.,” said Sachin Malhotra, General Manager of Kochi Marriott Hotel.
The Christmas tree used for the tree lighting ceremony at Kochi Marriott was a remarkable 18 feet tall. Designed with a minimalist approach, the tree featured a simple green spiral structure without traditional branches. However, it was adorned with an abundance of handcrafted butterflies and fireflies in vibrant, eye-catching colors. These decorations were large, completely covering the tree, creating a stunning visual effect. A switch was then used to light up the tree, with illumination emanating from within. This beautifully lit up the butterflies and fireflies, captivating the attention of every guest in attendance.
The ceremony was attended by Abhilash Matam (Director of Operations), Sooraj Nair (Director of Sales & Marketing), Syamjith Venugopal (Assistant Director of Food & Beverages), Suresh Baabu, (Executive Chef) and Nicky Esther John (Cluster Marcom Manager), along with influencers, HNIs, and long-stay guests. The joyous evening concluded with a delightful high tea.
