Bengaluru, 13th January 2025: The 6th edition of the CHAIROS BHEEMAIAH HOCKEY CUP concluded with an electrifying finale at the Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Hockey Arena, Bengaluru, as MEG Boys clinched the title after a thrilling victory over DYES by 4-0. This five-a-side tournament, organized by the Coorg Challengers Chickpet Association (CCCA) under the aegis of Karnataka Hockey, brought together the best of Indian hockey over three action-packed days.
Sponsored by QNET India, the event saw participation from 20 teams and 180 players competing fiercely for the championship title. Fans were treated to a showcase of world-class talent, with legendary Indian hockey stars like V.R. Raghunath, V.S. Vinaya, Amar Aiyamma, Nithin Thimmaiah, and Nikkin Thimmaiah gracing the tournament with their skill and expertise.
The winning team, MEG BOYS, was felicitated by Padma Shri and former Indian Hockey Player M.P. Ganesh, adding a touch of prestige to the event. The presence of former Olympians not only elevated the tournament’s significance but also inspired the next generation of hockey enthusiasts.
Enhancing the celebration, Sachin from MEG Boys, crowned as Player of the Tournament, received QNET’s limited-edition CHAIROS Chrono+ watch (powered by a Swiss Made Ronda Chronograph Movement), honouring an exceptional performance.
