Nov 30, 2012: According to a latest report by NDP group there has been an overall dip of 21% in the sale of Windows powered laptops and desktops. The sales of Windows laptops have come down by 24% and that of desktops by 9%. Even the launch of new Windows 8 could not help the sale of Windows powered PC’s which is a major disappointment for PC manufacturers like Dell, Lenovo, HP and Samsung. Though some in the industry attribute this dip to the lackluster performance of Windows 8, it is too premature to talk about the reasons behind the sharp decline.
