Dec 11, 2012: Close on the heels of Beiqi Foton Motor Co. entering into India another Chinese company which is planning to enter into Indian market is Great Wall Motor Co (GWM). GWM has got an annual production capacity of 8 lakh units and exports its vehicles to over 100 countries. The range of vehicles that GWM has includes sedans, hatchbacks and SUV’s. The company is known for its brands like Great Wall C50, Great Wall C10, Haval H6, Haval M4 etc. GWM is mulling over getting into India alone and not through any joint venture. Earlier Beiqi Foton Motor Co. had signed a MOU with the Maharashtra government to set up a manufacturing plant near Chakan.
