Dec 22, 2012: BlackBerry which is known for its smartphones and whose BlackBerry 10 is going to make a debut has signed Ranbir Kapoor as its new brand ambassador. Ranbir Kapoor fresh from the success of ‘Barfi’ which made into the Rs. 100 crore club and has slowly started establishing himself as a versatile actor will try to give a fresh lease of life to BlackBerry which has been facing a stiff competition from Samsung, Apple and Nokia. According to MD, RIM India, Mr. Sunil Dutt, “Ranbir personifies all the attributes that we endeavor to offer to our customers – enthusiasm, exuberance, persistence, excellence, fun, youthfulness, innovation and connecting with people”. It remains to be seen how brand Ranbir Kapoor will help BlackBerry to regain its lost ground.
