Jan 2, 2013: Reliance Digital a multi brand electronic retail chain which is a venture of Reliance Group promoted by Mukesh Ambani is planning for a major expansion drive. The company which started its operations in 2007 has 101 stores now. Reliance Digital which has got presence in Tier 1 cities is now planning to expand to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Reliance Digital plans to open 500 stores in the next 3-4 years and is targeting revenue of Rs. 40,000 crore. The electronic retail major which has 21 warehouses now is also planning to open warehouses in almost every state. The company offers nearly 4000 products and handles nearly 150 brands.
