Toyota Innova Crysta to be launched in India on May 3

The new Toyota Innova Crysta Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) might be launched in India on May 3rd. This new generation Innova model will feature a slew of design and mechanical updates. It was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 that was held early this year and it is likely to take over the Innova brand to an all new level with premium styling and features. With not even a week’s time for its launch, let us take a look at its top features.

The high-end model of the vehicle Toyota Innova Crysta includes seven airbags including one at the driver’s knee. It has features such as Hill-Start Assist Control and Vehicle Stability Control. The vehicle is equipped with bottled easy closer and LED projector headlights. On the whole, its exterior looks fresher and bolder.

There are adjustable seats as well in the Toyota Innova Crysta. Some of the features include an easy-slide passenger seat at the front, ambient lighting, a 7-inch touch screen audio system with navigation controls, automotive climate control, 8-way adjustable driver seat, and rear auto AC.

The GD diesel engines along with Power and Eco driving modes are teamed up with an optional six-speed automatic transmission system. Also, there is sequential shift in the vehicle. A 5-speed standard gearbox will be included in the vehicle.

Toyota is believed to provide the MPV with its own 2.4 liter and 2.8 liter diesel engines. The 2.4 liter engine can render a torque of 343 Nm and power of 149 PS. On the other hand, the 2.6 liter engine can provide a torque of 360 Nm and a power of 177 PS.

The Toyota Innova Crysta is expected to be priced from Rs 13 lakh onwards as per the ex-showroom pricing. This model will be competition against rivals such as Honda Mobilio and Renault Lodgy.
