Jan 7, 2013: In what can be termed as a very innovative way of differentiating the service, Lava Xolo smartphone owners need not go to service centers for getting their phone serviced. Instead the service will be offered by Lava on their doorsteps. Lava has tied up with FedEx to offer reverse and forward logistics support and thereby offer door to door repairing and delivery for its smartphone customers.
Lava is offering this first of its kind service offered by any mobile phone company in India in 50 major cities. For the customers who do not reside in these 50 cities, they can hand over the phone to collection centers, which the company intends to set up. The Xolo smartphones after its launch in April 2012 has been doing extremely well with 25,000 units being sold every month. The company which launched the first Xolo smartphone with Intel processor is planning for eight new models in the price range of Rs.10,000-Rs.25,000.
