Jan 14, 2013: Reliance Entertainment which took a 51% stake in Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks has struck gold with their movie Lincoln. Lincoln which is directed by Steven Spielberg has garnered a mammoth USD145.5 million at the box office 
and is still counting. According to different agencies the movie is expected to do a business of more than USD 175 million in US alone. What worked for Reliance is not only the box office collections but also that Lincoln has been nominated at the Oscars, the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild and Bafta Awards.
Reliance co produced this movie along with DreamWorks Studios and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. The movie which reflects the life of 16th American President was released in the US on 16th Nov 2012. Last year also three movies from Reliance DreamWorks, The Help, War Horse and Real Steel were nominated for Oscars. Though the production house got only one award for the movie The Help all these three movies were successful at the box office.
