New Delhi, December 08, 2022: This weekend shoppers at DLF Mall of India were greeted with a whole new kind of visual treat. DLF Mall of India partnered with the Floriculture society of Noida (FSN) to organise a two-day chrysanthemum show on December 3-4, 2022. The show had hundreds of potted chrysanthemums of different varieties on display.
Individual florists from across Delhi/NCR and large growers comprising of corporations such as Adobe and Hindustan Petroleum exhibited their planters that have been fondly cultivated over months. The winners received accolades and certificates from FSN & DLF Mall of India.
DLF Mall of India has a long-standing commitment towards sustainable development and initiatives like these help in increasing the green cover of the mall and counter air pollution. Floral beds also double up as a habitat for nectar collecting insects and thereby contribute to nurturing self-sustaining ecosystems amidst urban structures.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Manish Mehrotra, SVP and Head of Operations, DLF Malls said, “The chrysanthemum show is the city’s only horticulture-specific show to increase people’s interest in floriculture and explain their significance in environment conservation. These brightly bloomed Chrysanthemums mark the onset of winters and will continue to add vibrance to the mall ambience throughout the season. The colourful display of flowers and foliage is one of the top attractions of the city that the residents of Delhi/NCR cannot miss.
