Dec 31, 2012: If Aakash 2 was better than Aakash 1 then wait for Aakash 3. It promises to be better and possess more advance features compared to its predecessor Aakash 2. The developers are working on the third version of Aakash, the low cost tablet. Aakash 3 is said to have a SIM slot that missing in the first and second version and will spot more exciting apps and that too all this at existing prices. The tablet manufactured by Datawind in collaboration with IIT Bombay is expected to be launched in 2013. Efforts are on to make it as much indigenous as possible with multiple vendors participating in the process. Aakash 2 had come under some serious criticisms after it was reported that the tab was manufactured in China. Aakash 3 will have Linux and Android Operating system with a faster processor and advanced memory.
