Last week, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. stated that it has signed an exclusive agreement to bring Simon Carter, a London-based designer be rand into the Indian market.
The deal was a part of their strategic intention to boost their international portfolio. The relationship between Aditya Birla and Simon Carter will bring the high fashion from London to the Indian market, stated Pranab Barua, the Aditya Birla Group Business Head of Apparel and Retail Business.
The company is in plans to come up with Simon Carter exclusive stores in the three leading metros in the country such as Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, he added.
The UK brand will provide complete ensemble solutions that range from formal to casual wear, stated Barua. Carter claimed that they have worked together with Aditya Birla for several years. They are placed to use their resources and expertise to bring the brand to the Indian market.
Simon Carter started his career in the year 1985 beginning with a wholesale business. he retailed his collections in 40 countries across the world such as Seibu Japan, Liberty, David Jones Australia, Brown Thomas Ireland, and Bloomingdales USA.
