Aha Studio and Applause Entertainment, a company of the Aditya Birla Group, have formed a partnership to make four premium bi-lingual Pan-Indian series to reach a global audience.
Their first project is a film series of the book Half Lion, which is based on the life of former Prime Minister Shri PV Narasimha Rao. Allu Aravind, Promoter and Managing Director, Geetha Arts, and Sameer Nair, CEO, Applause Entertainment, announced in Mumbai earlier today.
The TV series, titled Half Lion, is based on Vinay Sitapati’s book of the same name.
Prakash Jha, a filmmaker noted for his skill in socio-political issues such as Gangaajal, Apaharan, Rajneeti, and Aarakshan, and most recently, the award-winning drama series Ashram, to mention a few, will direct the series. In 2023, Half Lion will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
