From being part of science fiction to reality, Artificial Intelligence has come a long way. We are now fitted with many smart devices, including self-driving cars, smart personal assistants, chatbots, and surgical robots. Artificial Intelligence vs. Human Intelligence has led to debates since AI has become a prominent technology in the current industry and a part of the daily life of the common man.

Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that seeks to build smart machines that perform a wide range of tasks, usually requiring human intelligence and expertise. Based on experience and historical knowledge, these smart machines analyze their environment and carry out suitable activities.

Human Intelligence refers to human beings’ cognitive ability that helps us to think, learn from different experiences, understand abstract concepts, apply logic and rationality, solve problems, recognize patterns, make observations and decisions, maintain the information, and communicate with fellow humans. Abstract emotions such as self-confidence, excitement, and inspiration to encourage people to perform complex tasks are encouraged.

Benefits of Artificial Intelligence vs Human Intelligence

  • The speed of implementation-A doctor could make a diagnosis in about ten minutes, but the AI system could simultaneously make a million.
  • There are no partial views on decision-making that are less partial.
  • Operating capacity-Due to saturation, they do not anticipate an end to their work
  • Accuracy

Differences between Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence

  • As compared to humans, computers can handle more data at a faster pace. AI, for example, can solve 10 problems in a minute if a mathematical problem can be solved in 5 minutes by the human mind.
  • AI is extremely objective in decision making as it tests based on purely gathered data. Human decisions, however, may be shaped by personal attributes that are not dependent on statistics themselves.
  • The multifunctional mission is assisted by human intelligence, as shown by separate and simultaneous functions, while AI can perform fewer tasks only when a computer can learn tasks one by one.
  • People can process abstract information as social beings, become self-confident and sensitive to the feelings of others, and can communicate much better. AI has not, on the other hand, established its capacity to gather useful social and emotional intelligence.

“Marina Gorbis, executive director of the Institute for the Future, said, “Without drastic changes in our political economy and data governance regimes, AI is likely to produce greater economic inequality, more surveillance, and more interactions that are programmed and non-human-centered.
