April 14,2013: The wait is finally over. Honda Amaze the new compact sedan from Honda has been launched with much fan fare. With many new features to its credit, Honda Amaze is said to have got some amazing bookings in the first few days. According to the company, the new Amaze has got 6000 bookings initially. The industry experts believe that the bookings will touch close to 10,000 to 11,000 bookings in the next two to three days.
Honda Amaze has got a real good initial response as experts feel that as consumers are looking for something different, the phenomenon mileage of the vehicle claimed by the company is one of the reasons for this initial buzz. The other reason being its aggressive pricing. The Indian automobile market has been witnessing a slowdown and this overwhelming reaction to the launch of Amaze is a good news for the industry.
Honda Amaze which was launched on 11th April is priced at Rs.4.99 lakh for petrol version and Rs.5.99 lakh for diesel version. It would be competing against Swift Dzire, Etios Liva and likes. Off late there has been a lot of activity happening in the compact sedan space. The latest automaker planning to enter this space is Mahindra with its Mahindra Verito Vibe.
