Dec 28, 2012: Amazon.com has emerged as the best online shopping website this season according to ForeSee’s Holiday E-Retail satisfaction Index. The survey also reveals that Gilt.com and RueLala.com are among the worst performers and JC Penney Co Inc suffered the largest drop in customer satisfaction. Amazon which has been continuously maintaining the top position since last eight years has been able to do so because the site is easy to use and the range of merchandise available through the site. Some of the other sites whose scores went down include Apple Inc whose score went down from 83 to 80, Dell Inc which fell from 80 to 77 and JCPenney which fell from 83 to 78. The customer satisfaction score of online sales of Wal Mart Stores, the number one US retailer also fell down and it was recorded as 78 which was one point down from what was recorded in 2011.
