Amazon Today announced the release of Alexa Originals, an exclusive collection of brand-new songs by four unsigned Indian musicians. With this initiative, clients will have new entertainment options in addition to the chance to connect with millions of Alexa users in India. As part of Alexa Originals, users may now listen to “Besabar” by Lisa Mishra, “Bikhre” by Vibha Saraf, “Saathi” and an instrumental tune from Gulraj Singh, as well as “Downtown” by Dies by.
Simply say “Alexa, start originals” to play a general playlist, or ask for a specific song by asking “Alexa, start Bikhre from Originals.” One of the most used functions of Alexa is the ability to listen to music. Every day, customers ask Alexa to play over 21.6 lakh songs, and with Alexa Originals, they’ll have even more reasons to appreciate the music of these gifted independent artists. The taste for music made by independent musicians has greatly increased during the past three years. The average monthly plays for tracks by independent music artists on Amazon Prime Music have climbed by 37% over the same period. “Each Alexa Original song was written with the idea of relationships in mind and features soul, pop, and R&B music. I’m confident that this selection will appeal to family members with a variety of tastes because Alexa built-in devices are typically used by the entire family, said Dilip R.S., Country Manager for Alexa, Amazon India. It was a pleasure working with these independent artists to choose our first line-up of Alexa Originals, and we are pleased to offer it to customers with HP’s backing.
The Alexa Originals were written and performed by independent musicians like Vibha Saraf, a gifted songwriter, and Bollywood playback singer, Lisa Mishra, Gulraj Singh, and Dies. Lisa Mishra is a singer and songwriter best known for her reprise renditions of Bollywood songs. Gulraj Singh is a film music director and singer who is known for his calming melodies. Gulraj Singh’s instrumental track combines ambient electronic tones with real ethnic instruments including the Esraj, Bouzouki, Saz, Charango, and Mandolin. HP is a co-powering partner in the first Alexa Originals version. Here’s what the artists have to say: “Besabar is an exciting dance-pop tune that I had so much fun writing,” says Lisa Mishra. As much as I enjoyed making it, I hope people enjoy listening to it.
Additionally, I’m thrilled to be among the first to work with the Alexa team and am looking forward to Alexa becoming the next millennial music destination.” “I’m really pleased to have ‘Saathi’ launched as one of the first tracks for ‘Alexa Originals,'” said Gulraj Singh. I had a lot of fun writing the song with my friend and fellow lyricist Manoj Yadav since it honors the true spirit of companionship and friendship. I enjoy writing unique music and have tried some intriguing musical arrangements and thrilling soundscapes for my instrumental track. I am really grateful to Amazon for this fantastic chance.
