Amethyst presents Abraham & Thakore’s Spring Summer 2023 collection, which includes Tunics and trousers, dresses and jackets. Saris. Scarves. These are the basics for a ready-to-wear wardrobe that flows effortlessly. A focused selection of evening wear is also a component of the collection. Fabrics range from cotton, silk, tencel and linen blends to handwoven fabrics that include double Ikat, silk cotton from Maheshwar and specially woven tencel x cotton blends. Techniques such as patchwork, block printing, crewel work, hand embroidery and applique create surfaces and contemporary graphic design elements from 11am to 7.30pm from April 15th to 30th, 2023 at at the Abraham & Thakore Shop in Shop section at Amethyst, Whites Road, Royapettah, Chennai.
Nature has always been an inspiration. The botanical drawings of leaves and other natural forms is the conceptual pivot around which the collection is built. The colour palette ranges from soft khakis and creams to shades of coral, lemon, citrus and soft blues. This is juxtaposed with black and white. They continue their exploration into classic garment shapes while reworking proportions in an effort to articulate a vocabulary that resonates with contemporary living. The collection presents a unified approach to dressing with a ready to wear collection of separates and coordinates to take you from day to night.
