Another move which was made by Amway apart from launching the new products under Nutrilite brand is the withdrawal of its ‘XL’ energy drink. The ‘XL’ energy drink was dropped from the market because of products short shelf life. The energy drink which was supplied in PET bottles had a shelf life of three months and the company had a challenge to supply this product across India from its plant in Himachal Pradesh. According to company officials, dropping of ‘XL’ energy drink is a temporary move and the company is chalking out its strategy to address this logistics and packaging issue and will be relaunching the product in the market soon.
