Bengaluru, 14 March 2022: With an aim to unlock economic opportunities for millions of professionals in beauty and wellness sectors, apna.co: India’s largest professional networking and jobs platform has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council.
Through this partnership, apna.co will support B&WSSC by providing easier access to hyperlocal opportunities, training sessions, upskilling courses, and re-skilling courses to the professionals in the beauty and wellness sectors. apna.co will also assist industry partners associated with B&WSSC to hire efficiently from apna.
apna.co has been recording an 11 percent month-on-month increase in jobs in the beauty and wellness sector. In the last month alone, many users were seen applying for jobs such as beauticians, hairstylists, makeup artists, nail artist, yoga trainers, gym trainers, neurotherapy trainers, etc.

B&WSSC is a not for profit organization promoted by CII with financial support from NSDC, under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
B&WSSC aims to establish an effective and efficient eco-system for the development and imparting of skills in the Beauty and Wellness industry including content & curriculum, courses, information databases, delivery systems, standardization of the accreditation, and certification process to enhance employability of the Indian workforce globally.
Council is chaired by Dr. Blossom Kochhar along with veteran industry icons as Governing Board Members. Since its inception, B&WSSC has grown exponentially making its presence in 29 States & 7 UTs, by training and certifying over 8 lakhs youth & helping them become employable /self-employable, with a certificate in Beauty and Wellness, recognized by Government of India.
At present, apna has 22 million users, a presence in 60 plus cities and counting, and 2 lakh plus employer partners. The platform has been enabling 18 million monthly interviews and over 35 million professional conversations every month.
