Ogilvy is an advertisement company that works based in New York City and has also established its reign in the British advertising field. It is also an agency that is into marketing and public relations. It was founded in the year 1850, by Edmund Mather initially as a London-based agency. In the year 1964, the firm became to be known as Ogilvy & Mather after joining a New York City agency that was founded in the year 1948 by David Ogilvy.

The agency is now a part of the WPP Group, and the company provides services in six areas. They are brand strategy, advertising, customer engagement and commerce, public relations and influence, digital transformation, and partnerships. The company’s strategy section OgilvyRED has become Ogilvy Consulting.
