Detergent brand Ariel had introduced a video that had stories of heroes and these are led by example, which does more than their fair share during the COVID pandemic in India. The campaign called #ChangeTheCycle has brought together stories of people. Some of them are Desaraj Singh, Daulat Bi Khan, Sharib Hassan, Ananya Wig, and many others. They had worked beyond their working hours and did lend their hands to support the needy people during the second COVID wave.
Here, we can see that Singh is an auto driver, seventy-four-year-old, and despite his age barriers, he continued to covid patients and frontline workers by supporting back and forth between hospitals and their homes. Thereafter, his auto has become his home now. Khan has even opened a multi-utility store to aid their community with the daily needed things during this lockdown.
Hasan and his team have even delivered oxygen cylinders to many people. Wig has evolved into a war room, where she used her intelligence and knowledge to endow accurate information about hospital beds, medicines, availability of oxygens cylinders, and all. Meanwhile, Sabrina from Coimbatore has cooked kilos of biriyani and had even distributed them to those who can’t afford it in their locality. The film was released recently on Ariel’s social media channels.
Sharat Verma, chief marketing officer, P&G Indian subcontinent has indicated that At Airtel, they still have faith that their progress is impossible without change. We could use this opportunity to salute those ordinary citizens for their extraordinary contribution to the citizens. We still adore and inspire their selfless acts of kindness and this could teach us that if we play our part correctly, we could help and support each other. Further, we could #ChangeTheCycle.
Ariel appreciates the good mind and dedication of those citizens, who did begin the cycle of change and did lend their hand to support those who are battling with covid. This is a moment to realize their efforts and sacrifices. We can’t express thanks through these mere words, they should be known to the world and we have to be grateful for them.
Later, Ariel had bought us a bit of optimism and positivity by highlighting the story of Dr. VS Priya, Kerala’s First transgender doctor, who had fought against all the odds to reflect her true self.
