India – September 30th, 2021: AscentHR, a leader in HR solutions, payroll, benefits and compliance services has announced its back to office plans by emphasizing focus on employee well-being and safety at workplace. The company is practising various measures as part of its SafeReturn to Work” (R2W) Plan.

The preparations for R2W started with regular sanitization of the entire workplace followed by urging compulsory vaccination for employees before returning to work, developing a roster system, creating awareness on hand and respiratory hygiene practices, offering flexibility to employees with COVID-19 symptoms, incorporating changes to health insurance coverage, and digitizing reimbursements and hiring.

Commenting on the R2W plan, Indira Ramachandran, CHRO at AscentHR, said “Enabling employees to transition back to the office is quite a complex task that goes beyond a mere announcement. It starts with an employee-centric approach, which in turn drives the planning and preparation for a safe return to work.”

Parallelly, AscentHR also rolled out a company-wide survey to take stock of the employees’ vaccination status and has also been facilitating a vaccination drive, free of cost, for its employees and their immediate family members with an intention to prioritize employees’ health. The company formed a “R2W Taskforce” by roping in staff from their Admin & Facilities team to carry out the vaccination drive on a daily basis and support its employees during the vaccination drive.

CHRO Indira Ramachandran added, “The taskforce successfully managed to vaccinate hundreds of our employees and their family members so far, and many of these employees have shared positive feedback on their experience. We’ll continue with this exercise as per our plan, while adhering to standard safety measures mandated by the government agencies, such as compulsory masks, physical distancing, hygiene protocols, and self-reporting of Covid-19 symptoms before and after vaccination.”

Besides establishing measures and protocols related to workplace hygiene, the company is taking efforts to align the entire workforce for adherence, enabling a safe work environment. The company began this detailed-oriented process a few months ago as part of its Employee Wellness & Business Continuity Plan and its ongoing efforts to support and enable employees to return to work safely.
