Mumbai, 13th February 2023: Arjun Madhavan, CEO of Assemblage Entertainment, India’s premium CGI animation house, has joined the board of the prestigious Indian Animation festival – AniMela. In its maiden year, AniMela aims to promote talent and exhibit world-class films created by independent filmmakers, animation studios, students, and enthusiasts. The event will also provide a space for in-depth artistic and technological reflection in the AVGC space.

Scheduled to take place in November 2023, AniMela is India’s first International Animation, VFX, XR, Gaming & Comics Festival. The event endeavours to bring the spirit and energy of the world renowned and most widely attended Animation Festival, Annecy, in India, to provide an impetus to the local animation industry and kickstart a creative exchange that forms the bedrock of a collaborative art form such as animation.

The team was honored to have the opportunity to meet Mickaël Marin, CEO of CITIA & Véronique Encrenaz, Project Manager, MIFA from Annecy International Animation Film Festival, France who graced the AniMela launch event.
