To further strengthen its leadership team, the largest electric scooter manufacturer in India, Ather Energy, has just announced the hiring of Pranesh Urs for the position of Vice President, Marketing. As the company moves into the next phase of its expansion and rapidly extends its presence across India, this appointment will play a significant part in the company’s efforts to take the lead in the electric vehicle (EV) revolution taking place in the country.
Throughout his career, Pranesh has gained over two decades of experience managing marketing and digital media strategy for several consumer electronics and information technology companies. When he starts working at Ather, he will be in charge of all of the brand and marketing efforts, including those about the brand, media, consumer insights, creativity, and community. Because of his wide and varied experience in marketing, his hiring will be critical to the success of the brand in realizing its goal of becoming India’s Largest Electric Two-Wheeler Manufacturer.

Before beginning his role as a member of the Ather team, Pranesh Urs held the position of Director of Marketing at Samsung India, where he oversaw marketing efforts for the Smartphone business. He formerly served as the head of marketing at HP Inc. for consumer PCs and laptops. He has prior experience working in the industry of consumer electronics and information technology. His areas of expertise include Brand Management, Digital Strategy, Direct Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and e-Commerce. He also has experience in Direct Marketing and Digital Marketing.
