Celebrating all things Pride, these stories will be available for listeners by the end of 2022
June 16, 2022: Timed with Pride Month, Audible, an Amazon company and a leading global provider of spoken-word entertainment, and Gaysi (gay + desi), one of India’s largest queer-based media platforms, announced today that Audible will soon be releasing a very special series created by Gaysi, featuring eight unique, personal and powerful true stories written and voiced by members of the Queer community.
The series, created by Gaysi with the objective of bringing voices from the desi queer community to the forefront, will be a part of Audible’s Plus catalogue, so members of Audible can listen to it for free. These short stories have been crowdsourced and cover a myriad of topics within the queer world – coming out, bisexuality, first loves, heart breaks, identifying as non-binary, being transgender, friendship, chosen families, love and a lot more.
While talking about this collaboration, Shailesh Sawlani, VP and Country GM, Audible India, said, “This Pride Month, I am so happy to announce that we will soon be releasing a special series created by an incredible organization like Gaysi that offers a safe space for members of the LGBTQIA community to share their voice and perspective.
