Freedom Cooking Oils gives out the message that we should stay positive & encourage emotional closeness while maintaining COVID guidelines
The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has left us shocked and scared. To keep the morale high and encourage people to fight Covid while maintaining a positive outlook Freedom Cooking Oils (the Flagship brand of Gemini Edibles and Fats India Pvt. Ltd.) has come up with an empowering initiative #BeACovidFreedomFighter. The objective of this initiative is to help people stay strong and be a fighter in our communities.
Freedom Cooking Oils has created inspiring video stories which are set in normal households with an underlying tone of maintaining an emotional connection whilst being at a physical distance. Only through solidarity, compassion, and strong willpower can we defeat the virus and #BeACovidFreedomFighter.
During these extraordinary times of strict lockdowns and curfews, if someone contracts the virus, there is no choice but to stay grounded. There are cases of entire families getting infected, old people struggling to get even basic groceries and nobody to care for them. These stories beautifully display, it does not require a hero to save the day. Even a teenager, with his smartness, can tackle the situation at home and how we can make a little impact by helping our elderly neighbours.
Speaking about the campaign, Mr. P. These inspiring stories have a common theme of kindness, perseverance, and encourage people to go out of their way and support the ones in need. We, at Freedom Cooking Oils, firmly believe that, with this initiative, we can contribute to the greater good and achieve victory over the virus by becoming a #CovidFreedomFighter.”
Freedom has been one step ahead in fulfilling their social duties. To support the communities during the COVID-19 pandemic Freedom Cooking Oils has teamed up with Seva Bharathi, a non-profit organisation, to set up a 200 beds-isolation centre at RVK School in Uppal, Hyderabad for mild cases of COVID-19. Last year Freedom contributed Rs. 2.5 Crores towards COVID Relief of which Rs. 50 Lakhs was towards PM Cares fund along with Rs. 2 Crores being split for CM Relief fund for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and support to the villages near the plants with food supplies. These initiatives are some examples of how our actions, simple gestures can go a long way in the battle against COVID. Freedom is committed to their fight against COVID and have been continually supporting the communities in keeping them strong and positive.
