Dec 3, 2012: Bharti Airtel as part of expanding its services today launched a emergency alert service for its customers. This new service allows Airtel subscribers to send an alert to 10 close people simultaneously along with their geographic location. Through this new emergency alert service, users can set a SMS indication to 10 people and inform them simultaneously with a click of a button in times of emergency. The users need to shell our 30Rs. for 30 days so as to avail this service. The users in times of emergency can call 55100 or send an SMS by typing HELP to 55100 so as to activate the SMS to predefined numbers.
