Big data analytics firm Infinite Analytics raises fund from Ratan Tata and other investors

Big data analytics firm Infinite Analytics has raised an undisclosed amount as capital in its bridge round from Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Son’s. The round also ensured the participation of its existing investors including Nikhil Vora of the Sixth Sense Ventures and  other new investors from Silicon Valley and India. Tim Berners Lee of World Wide Web and Deb Roy of Chief Media Scientist, Twitter are the main advisors and also the investors in the company. It also has raised a lump sum amount as seed funding from various investors from across Australia, Taiwan, India, the UK and the US.

Infinite Analytics is the most advanced predictive marketing and analytics company which was founded in 2012 by two MIT graduates Akash Bhatia and PurushothamBotla. It is a Mumbai and Boston cloud-based big data startup which uses the social graph of consumers to provide personalized recommendation. They have developed a tool which merges data from all major social networks and from multiple sources collecting information on customer demography, transactions, loyalty program and open data to create a 360-degree view of a user. This tool takes into account likes, interests, activities, brand affinity, intent and spending potential and analyses all the data related to it to create a personalized online experience. The company claims to have processed about 90 million users, 5.3 billion data attributes which caused a hike of 25% in site engagement for all  those companies which uses their tool.

The company uses this tool allows many e-commerce companies in the retail or travel industry to deliver relevant and personalized recommendations. These additional proceeds raised by the company will be used by them to expand its predictive analytics technology to other segments beyond retail and e-commerce.
