Bengaluru, 29.01.24: Birla Institute of Management Technology’s Centre for Online Studies (COOLS), celebrated its second Annual Convocation ceremony, for the Online Batch July 2021-June 23 and Jan 2022-Dec 2023, of Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at BIMTECH Campus, Greater Noida, on 27 January 2024.
In the PGDM (online), with a male-female ratio of 7:3, 83% of learners from Cohort -2 and 63 % of learners from Cohort -3 met the academic standards and graduated with flying colors. AACSB recognized PGDM (Online) had witnessed notable progress, admitting six batches totaling around 1000 learners in three years. The PGDM (Online) program champions inclusivity with a remarkable 76% enrolment of experienced learners and a commendable 30% representation of women, fostering a diverse and collaborative learning environment.
The occasion was marked by the distinguished attendance of prominent dignitaries, comprising Chief Guest, Mr. Prem Singh, President, Group HR, JK Organization, Keynote Speaker, Mr. Prasad Rampalli, CTO, Deloitte, and Guest of Honor, Mr. Govind Kumar, President, UpGrad. The gathering was further graced by the attendance of Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director, BIMTECH, Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Chief Educational Advisor, BIMTECH and Prof. S.S. Dubey, Dean Academics and Chairperson, COOLS, BIMTECH, collectively enhancing the overall significance of the occasion.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. Prem Singh, President, Group HR, JK Organization imparted invaluable wisdom drawn from his life’s experiences, emphasizing the importance of “fearlessly taking risks, embracing continuous learning, leveraging strengths over weaknesses, empowering team members to shine, and steadfastly adhering to personal values in all situations”.
The Keynote Speaker, Mr. Prasad Rampalli, CTO, Deloitte, delivered an inspiring address at the convocation, sharing lessons about “finding passion in work, embracing failures, engaging in continuous learning process, fostering diversity and inclusion, and upholding integrity”.
Guest of Honor, Mr. Govind Kumar’s eloquent remarks encapsulate the spirit of accomplishment and cooperation among the graduating students. The collaborative efforts of BIMTECH and UpGrad have not merely molded prospective business leaders but also instilled values poised to facilitate impactful contributions to both society and the global business arena.

The 24-month PGDM (Online) Programme, offers dual specialization in Marketing, Finance, Analytics etc., and is culminated to imbibe students with a diversified understanding of business areas and skills required in the field with a focus on practical learning.
The program includes a dissertation writing course, providing PGDM Online students with a distinctive opportunity to explore current business issues, fostering a nuanced understanding and facilitating a comprehensive grasp of emerging trends in the business landscape.
