Bengaluru, November 21, 2024: The much-anticipated BLR Hubba, anchored by UnboxingBLR Foundation, returns for its second edition, ready to bring Bengaluru to life with 16 days of vibrant celebrations across 40+ venues. From November 30 to December 15, 2024, UnboxingBLR, presents this city-wide cultural gala, set to feature over 500 events spanning 10 categories, including art, culture, music, conversations, and more. Popular venues like Freedom Park, Bangalore International Centre (BIC), Panchavati in Malleswaram, Sabha on Kamaraj Road and NGMA will serve as anchor venues and host a dynamic lineup of experiences designed to highlight Bengaluru’s rich heritage and innovative spirit.
Audiences can look forward to an extraordinary array of experiences at BLR Hubba 2024, showcasing a vibrant lineup of events. To seamlessly plan their itinerary, they can book their favourite activities directly on the newly launched BLR Hubba website https://blrhubba.in allowing visitors to explore schedules, venues, and categories at their convenience. Most events under the BLR Hubba banner are free and open to all.
Some prominent BLR Hubba events include the likes of Kantha, a musical extravaganza and blend of Asia’s musical traditions into a vibrant soundscape of rock, fusion, folk, and jazz, – which will feature 38 talented artists. Offbeat adds a twist to culture, blending dance, music, and theatre against the backdrop of illuminated heritage sites. Speaklore, the spoken word festival, aims to bring stories to life through improv, playback theatre, poetry, and puppetry. Hubba In Your Streets will reclaim Bengaluru streets, celebrating local talent, from artisans to buskers and street performers. Futures will bring together some of the brightest national and international minds to peer over the horizon and connect the dots. Kanaada Cultural enthusiasts will get to experience Karnataka’s soul at Gala-Gala-Gaddala, a unique cultural initiative spotlighting the best of the state’s arts, literature, and folk traditions. Gala-Gala-Gaddala will shine a spotlight on Kuppalli Venkatappa Puttappa, affectionately known as Kuvempu. Marking his 120th birth anniversary, the event honors the poet’s monumental contributions to Kannada literature, providing festival-goers with a unique opportunity to engage deeply with his works. In addition, GodeBLR, a public art initiative, will transform some of the prominent Bengaluru walls into thought-provoking murals and artworks that reflect the city’s dynamic spirit.
