Indian inventions and innovations in science, medicine, and mathematics have been significant in shaping the modern world. By producing indigenous satellites, young ISRO has proved to all the nations that India can reach the limit of Mars. We have produced elite sports athletes and proved the world wrong that India cannot reach the Olympic podium. Through its skill in art and culture, India has been successful in giving the world global cultural icons. Despite such valuable contributions, India has been misconceived by the world when it comes to manufacturing wearables. Now it’s time for India to be called a Product nation too.
boAt, homegrown audio, and wearable brand has released a new campaign titled- Rock’In India campaign. The campaign narrates how we are ushering into a new era of ‘Make In India’ products, the power of Indianness, and why it distinguishes India from the rest of the world. The brand is building an ecosystem to transform India into a hub for manufacturing new-generation wearables with minimal dependence on foreign products. Leaving behind the conventional norms, the homegrown brand boAt has manufactured more than 10 million products in India under the Make In India campaign. The design and engineering will establish the product in global markets, the company said in a statement.
India’s successful growth is due to the undefeated spirit of its people. boAt salutes to individuals like athlete Hima Das and many more who are breaking the stereotypes and resonating with the #DoWhatFloatsYourboAt philosophy. The stereotypical expectations from girls never barred Hima Das( Indian sprinter ) from achieving her goals. And then we all remember her as the first Indian woman or even the first-ever Indian athlete to win a gold medal in any format of a global track event at the IAAF work U20 championships when she made a record speed of 51.46 seconds.
The brand has also designed and published an interactive print ad with a special QR code that once activated, the ad draws to the power of Indian-ness and marks boAt’s 1 crore ‘Made In India’ products milestone.
Aman Gupta, co-founder, and CMO at boAt said- boAt has proved naysayers wrong and successfully undertaken the designs, engineering, and manufacturing of wearables in India. Today 90% of our products are manufactured in India. With this campaign, we want to strengthen our commitment and promise to continue investing in Atman Nirbhar Bharat.
