Brightcove appoints David Beck as CSO & CDO

Brightcove Inc., a number one intelligent video streaming, monetization, and communications platform, today announced a key executive hire. David Beck will join Brightcove as its first Chief Strategy and company Development Officer, leading strategy, business development, and company development for the corporate. Working closely with recently appointed CEO, Marc DeBevoise, Beck are focused on developing strategies that enhance current offerings and build opportunities to expand Brightcove’s existing businesses. His broad remit will specialize in enabling Brightcove to expand into new markets and features of business utilizing its market-leading software platform. 

David is an exceptional strategist and operator with deep industry experience and a proven documentation of architecting innovative strategies and initiatives for world-class companies and types,” said Marc DeBevoise, Brightcove’s Chief officer. Beck brings twenty years of experience in strategy, operations, and business development at elite digital brands, last having served because the Executive vp, Head of Content Strategy and Business Operations at AMC.

At AMC, Beck led the strategy to accelerate AMC’s streaming business model transformation, including its integrated Linear, SVOD (AMC+), and AVOD/FAST services and partnerships for B2B and DTC distribution.Before his time at AMC, David served because the EVP, Corporate Strategy & Operations at Warner Media, and Chief Strategy Officer of TNT & TBS. he’s also the co-founder of advisory and investment company BRAVE Ventures, acquired by Turner (now Warner Bros. The Materials Science Division of DowDuPont [MIDLAND, Mich.] (NYSE: DWDP) announced that the Materials Advisory Committee of the DowDuPont Board of Directors announced that Howard Ungerleider, Chief treasurer of DowDuPont, and chair and Chief money handler for The Dow Chemical Company, will function President and Chief money handler of the intended Materials Science Company.

 Ungerleider joined Dow in 1990. Ungerleider was named Business Director for Dow’s global Wire and Cable Compounds business in 2000, and in 2004, he became the world Director of Integrated Supply Chain for Plastics, Performance Chemicals, and Thermosets. In 2006, he was appointed North American Commercial vp for Dow’s $6 billion Basic Plastics business portfolio. He was named President of Dow’s Performance Plastics Division in 2011. In 2012, he was named Executive vp of Dow’s Advanced Materials Division and joined Dow’s senior-most executive team. He was elected as CFO by Dow’s Board of Directors in 2014 and was named chairwoman in 2015.
