UK-based company Nothing will launch its first smartphone Nothing Phone 1. The device will launch in June 2022. The company has also activated a webpage on its website to notify users of the launch.
The device will have the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. It is a new chipset from Snapdragon. It will also have a maximum of 12 GB RAM. It will try to target the OnePlus smartphone users. It will have a minimalist design similar to the previous generation of OnePlus smartphones. The phone will have Nothing OS, the company’s operating system.
The camera will have Sony IMX camera sensors. It will have a battery range of 4200 mAh and 4500 mAh. The phone will have a 120 Hz display. It will have a screen size of 6.7 inches. The hone will also include the feature of the AMOLED display.
Nothing company has been started by Carl Pei. He is also the co-founder of OnePlus. So, because OnePlus has a partnership with Amazon. So, he is going to use Flipkart as the platform for sales in India.
But considering the popularity of OnePlus smartphones. It will be difficult for Nothing to compete against their smart devices. It will also have tough competition from the like Samsung. Samsung has the advantage of having a good offline reach.
Nothing will also have to take care of some important factors. It will have to take care of the supply chain. In the past, we have seen, how OnePlus was struggling to keep up with the demand. So, nothing will have to plan something to tackle such a situation. Along with that, it will also have to take care of the system updates. Now, people also give importance to the software updates given by the company to its devices.
The company will also have to compete with the rapidly changing competition in features of a phone. Today we have phones with 30 W charging capability and even more. So, Nothing will have to take care of that. At last, the after-sales service will also play an important role in establishing the company.
